This is a great tool. I have been making the holes in the paper pot trays with my fingers and it is quite time consuming. When I used this for the first time it made me wish I had been able to buy it sooner. I believe that this is a game changing tool and makes the paper pot system make sense. There is a bit of a sticker shock I won’t lie but if you have ever tried making one yourself like I have it soon becomes apparent it is worth the price.

  2. Janna Wesselius (The Cornucopia)

I LOVE this dibbler! Fantastic to use for quickly seeding paper pot chains and for germination trays even when you are not using the paper chains. (i.e. when you are just germinating seeds like peppers and tomatoes that will be potted up)

  3. Matt

We recently purchased the dibbler and are very pleased. Last year, we used the paper pots without the dibbler and have found this year that it really is a critical part of the system. I believe I am getting better and more even germination and coupled with the drop seeder, the time savings is amazing.

Like another reviewer said, there is some sticker shock, but what you have to remember is that you aren’t paying for this tool based on what it cost to make it (though it is very well made), you are paying for the value it provides, which is immense time savings and quality starts.

  4. Chris Provetto

I suppose this piece isn’t entirely necessary if you’re on a budget, but it will pay for itself in no time. Once you get the hang of lining up the pattern, it’s a huge time saver!!

Needed a replacement for ours as it broke when somebody dropped it! Was delivered promptly!
