• Inter-planting can help you maximize your use of space, something that can be important when space on an urban farm is limited.
  

• Urban environments are filled with a lot of microclimates.  All of the buildings and roads have a lot of thermal mass which can hold heat.

• Look at crop selection.  You just can’t grow everything.  Curtis tends to focus on crops that have long seasons with continual harvest and take up a small amount of space.
